Shakespeare’s gloriously silly story of love, friendship and growing up takes the stage at Orlando Shakes. This adaptation set in the 1980s is described as “Sixteen Candles” meets Shakespeare. The ME generation, yuppies rule, superficial, instant gratification over long-term gain, anyone different is looked askance upon, and the quest for romantic love and status tops everything. The Two Gentlemen of Verona will be performed by the The W. Daniel Mills apprentices as part of The Young Company.
