The 2025 River Clyde Pageant: In Field and Flight

The River Clyde Pageant: In Field and Flight marks the 10th anniversary of the magical outdoor performance in New Glasgow, PEI that has captured the hearts and imaginations of audiences and participants for a decade.
This milestone season launches our fifth performance cycle, exploring the collective movement patterns of flocks and swarms, plant and animal migrations, and the shifting responses these movements evoke.
The show opens with a cranky theatre scene commemorating the history of the River Clyde Pageant, featuring alumni actors and melodies from past productions. Audiences will then travel along a meandering path through a field of wildflowers, encountering various ensembles along the way. Settling at the bottom of the hill, a new story will unfurl around the living stage built from windfall from Hurricane Fiona and woven willow, carried along by a lively cast of creatures from human, animal and plant realms. The Pageant is an enchanting experience for all ages, sparking delight, contemplation and wonder.
When: July 25-28 and August 1-4, at 7:30 pm
Please note: August 1 is a relaxed performance, which offers an inviting atmosphere where some theatre-going conventions are slightly adapted to allow all attendees to watch and respond to the Pageant in a way that feels authentic to them. The show itself is the same!
