Stone Hall Sessions is pleased and proud to present area favourites Gord Youmans & Jackie Fraser as the sixth concert in our 2025 Season.
Gord Youmans was born and raised in Cordova Mines. His Dad was a fan of old song and his Mom taught herself rhythm guitar. Their home became the Do-Drop-Inn on Friday and Saturday evenings- local musicians appeared with guitars, banjos and fiddles to sing and play till the wee hours.
It took a few years for Gord to start working with the guitar knowledge his Mom had passed on, but almost 20 years ago, Gord started to go to jamborees and became hooked on fireside jams. Gord now hosts a regular weekly jam in Marmora and is well known throughout the area as a high quality performer of traditional country music.
Jackie Fraser takes her audiences back to a time when country and folk music was simple and honest.
Learning guitar from her dad at the many house parties and bonfires hosted at her family’s farm north of Marmora, Jackie fell in love with the songs made popular by the legends of country music. She's spent many hours entertaining seniors during her 40 year career in the long term care field. Jackie has performed at countless jamborees, festivals, church services and fundraising events throughout the region.
A single guitar, a distinctively beautiful soft voice and songs with timeless quality will fill this relaxing Sunday afternoon concert.
