"For the Record" film screening and local journalism discussion

Join the Ouray County Plaindealer for a screening of the documentary "For the Record." This film follows the story of a community newspaper editor, Laurie Ezzell Brown, who battles an oil bust, the pandemic and a growing mistrust of the media as she fights to keep her newspaper alive in rural Texas.

Featuring a reception and conversation with Brown, who is traveling from Canadian, Texas for this event, as well as Plaindealer staff and Emmy Award-winning journalist Judy Muller.

Film starts at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m.
