Lessons of the Holocaust

We are excited to host Lessons of the Holocaust, a presentation by educator Brad Wilkening. This free event is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. Wilkening will explore the lasting impact of the Holocaust through historical accounts and survivors’ testimonies, highlighting its relevance today. His presentation emphasizes the importance of learning from the past to foster a more compassionate and understanding society. An Iowa native, Wilkening has an extensive background in teaching and coaching. He developed a high school Holocaust course after training at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and further expanded his expertise through programs at Columbia University and the Jewish Foundation for the Righteous. Since 2014, he has been a member of the Iowa Commission on Holocaust Education, sharing his insights with schools and libraries across the state. Come join us!
