Kayak Float to the Base of Burgess Falls

Enjoy an opportunity to see the Big Falls at Burgess Falls from the base!
We will meet at the Cane Hollow Recreation Area parking lot at 8:45 AM on July 12th for a 4-mile round-trip paddle. We hope to observe some of our local wildlife and enjoy the scenic views of the Falling Water River.
Kayaks and life preservers will be provided. Please remember to wear sunscreen, bring plenty of water, and be prepared to have a great time! Also, please bring your own waterproof bags to store your personal items!
This opportunity will be limited to 10 people. Participants must be at least 12 years old, preferably with some kayak experience.
Please be sure to select the right category during registration so that we can ensure we bring the proper equipment needed.
NOTES & Q&A -
Cancellations due to weather will be refunded if the staff cancels the event. In the event of inclement weather, you will be contacted at the number you provided during registration for cancellations. The float will proceed as scheduled if park staff do not contact you.
Kayak events are based on staff availability. This website reflects that schedule and will be updated as we confirm scheduling. We will direct you to this schedule if you ask about specific dates. We do not have rental kayaks for you to go to the base yourself.
