Summer Trailwork Day

This Saturday will be our first community work day of the season.

As part of our stewardship of the land, the Forest for Learning Board invites volunteers to help maintain its marked trails for community and educational use.

There is much to do on this work day after many months of tumultuous weather!

We ask for of all ages to help with removal of debris from the trails by hand and by rake.
If you have a trimmer or W**d-whacker, we could use help pushing back the edges of some trails.
If you are confident with a chainsaw and the safety required to use one on fallen trees there are a few trees impeding trail travel that we could use assistance with.
We always need help to move the chainsawed wood from the trails.
We are also looking for help with a bit of bridge and boardwalk repair if you're in the mood to do some light carpentry work.


We will meet at the kiosk in the parking area by the Putney Pool at 8am.

We will have refreshments and water available. Bug spray, some hand tools and gloves will be available but please bring your own if you have them.
