These events are for patrons ages 8 and up (The Hug a Tree Program is geared toward ages 5-11).
On July 10 and July 17, join us for LEGO time in the downstairs library conference room! Mr. Mike has purchased some great LEGO sets for various ages!
On July 24, join us to experiment with Cartoonimator, a program created by the ATLAS Institute of University of Colorado Boulder! This is a paper-based computational kit for children to create animations. Children draw the scenes and characters for their animation on paper, which is printed with computer vision markers. The mobile web app provides an interface to capture keyframes and compile them into animations. PLEASE NOTE: a tablet or smartphone is required for this activity. Registration will also be required.
On July 31, children are invited to participate in Scouting America’s Hug a Tree Program! We will have a storytime, activities, and learn how to be safe if you get lost. PLEASE NOTE: This program is geared toward ages 5-11, but all are welcome!
