The 3rd Annual City of Hamilton City-Wide Clean-Up Day!
- Saturday, June 28, 2025. 8am to Noon.
Residents of the City of Hamilton may bring their clean up items to the Hamilton High School parking lot on 11th and Laurel Street. The City of Hamilton reserves the right to limit quantities if deemed excessive.
*All residents must bring a City of Hamilton water bill for proof of residency*
ITEMS ACCEPTED:
Household and patio furniture, carpeting (cut to manageable size), mattress, lawn decorations, small plastic swimming pools, sinks, toilets, small amounts of dimensional lumber (cut to 5’ lengths) windows, doors, fencing, wiring, small plumbing pipe, swing sets-cut down, bicycles, lawnmowers & tillers (gas & oil drained), toys, bowling balls, type writers, shoes, clothes, humidifiers, etc.
**Also excepting cardboard for recycling**
IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS, THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE CITY OF HAMILTON.
- Appliances (white goods)
- Storage batteries (e.g. Auto)
- Tires of any type (truck, auto, farm, etc.)
- Liquid paint (dried paints are usually acceptable)
- Landscape waste (grass, leaves, bushes, trees, etc.)
- Items containing friable asbestos (capable of generating dust)
- Construction and demolition debris
- E-Waste (TV's, computer, electronic equipment)
- Hazardous materials (oil, gas, solvents, etc.)
- Medical sharps (unless containerized)
- Animal carcasses
- No household garbage during cleanup.
- No tires of any kind. (i.e., car, truck, tractor, motorcycle, etc.)
- No microwaves, televisions, VCRs, computer monitors towers or keyboards, cell phones, or NiCad batteries.)
- No concrete blocks or bricks, yard waste (i.e. grass clipping, leaves, or tree/brush trimmings.)
- No anti-freeze, liquid paint, motor oil, gas, Freon, herbicides, pesticides, ashes, asbestos materials. (i.e. floor tiles, shingles or insulation)
- No lead acid batteries (i.e. automotive, motorcycle, or lawnmower)
- No cars, trucks, boats, trailers, campers, etc.
- No asphalt roof shingles, or large amounts of drywall.
- No Commercial contractors waste from building sites.
