How much do we really taste with our eyes? In this interactive blind tasting, we’ll put that question to the test. With no labels and no bottle shapes you’ll rely solely on smell and taste to explore and evaluate three white wines and three red wines. Plus there will be plenty of tasty bites to complete the evening.
Whether you're a curious wine lover or a seasoned enthusiast, this sensory experience will surprise and delight—revealing how much our eyes can influence our palate.
Leading the evening is Jonjie Lockman, a Certified Specialist of Wine and CEO of Intervine, a global wine supplier for airlines and cruise lines. Jonjie’s wine journey began with vacations in wine regions and a tasting group in Atlanta, before she left the corporate world behind and moved to Napa Valley in 2011 to turn her passion into a career. At Intervine, she has led countless blind tastings used to select wines for international programs and high-profile clients.
Her impressive career also includes leadership roles at Turner Broadcasting, CNN, Wells Fargo, and Coleman Research, where she specialized in finance, acquisitions, and process management. She holds a B.S. from North Carolina State University and both an MBA and a Master’s in Operations Management from Georgia State University—making her a true powerhouse in both business and wine.
Jonjie also served as National President of Women for WineSense (2014–2015) and helped launch the Raleigh chapter in 2025. Her deep industry knowledge and approachable style make every tasting feel like a masterclass—without the pressure.
