Walker Valley work party

Dear Walker Valley Volunteers,

Happy summer and thank you for your continued dedication to keeping Walker Valley in great shape!

This Saturday, June 27th, we’ll be focusing our efforts along Peter Burns Rd (a.k.a. Walker Valley Mainline) to block vehicle access into sensitive ditch areas. These areas are being damaged by unauthorized "mudding," which not only tears up the road but also increases water turbidity—something the Department of Ecology has monitored within our road and trail system.

We’ll be placing logs across the ditches to prevent further damage. I’ll have a dump trailer loaded with logs, and we’ll also be using staged piles along the road that are ready to go.
