NOLI Wilderness Survival with Scott Fisher - Jul 26, Hampton, TN
Despite our best efforts we may find ourselves lost or injured in the backcountry where help or rescue is not immediately available and all we have to rely on is our knowledge, attitude and wits. This fun and informative one-day course familiarizes participants with many of the essential concepts of wilderness survival that will help you stack the odds in your favor including preparation, prevention, attitude, shelter, fire craft, knife use, water procurement, knot tying, aidless navigation and rescue signaling. The focus is on providing practical, real-world skills to use if lost or injured in a wilderness setting.
Following the loss of our survival camp due to flooding from Helene, we have moved the class to the Cherokee National Forest in Hampton, TN, a beautiful location along the mountain-ringed waters of Watauga Lake. We will meet at the AT Trailhead near Shook Branch and make the short hike to camp as we embark on a fun-filled and empowering experience. Lead instructor is NOLI founder and former Ranger-qualified Army officer Scott Fisher who has been teaching wilderness skills for over 30 years. All equipment provided. Suitable both for those with and without experience. Minimum age is 10. Cost is $125. To learn more and reserve your spot in class, please go to:

Wilderness Survival Feedback:
"I recently participated in the Wilderness Survival class and it was an awesome experience! Scott, the instructor is an excellent teacher with tons of knowledge and experience, making the time spent in the class very enjoyable. He had tons of material prepared and guided us through each of the tasks he asked us to complete. I highly recommend this class."
