Join local and visiting friends of VINE for a day at the sanctuary! Get to know cows, goats, sheep, and birds as you help out with sanctuary projects. Your labors will be rewarded by a sanctuary tour followed by vegan snacks with sanctuary staff and visiting animal advocates. This event is free and open to the public. Come on time so that you don't miss the important announcements at the gate!
FAQs
When should I arrive?
Please arrive between 10:50 and 11:10 so that we can let you through the gate and give you important safety instructions. Animals at the sanctuary are not caged or fenced off. For their safety and your own, you must listen to those instructions before entering the grounds.
Who can come?
Anybody aged six or above can come. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please tell us if you will be bringing children under 12, so that we can plan a special child-friendly project for them to do.
What's the cost?
This event is free, but of course we won't argue if you want to bring a donation for the sanctuary, vegan snacks to share with other attendees, or fresh fruits and vegetables to share with nonhuman sanctuary residents.
What should I wear?
Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty without worry.
