Appalachian Folk Medicine Class

Join us on August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to learn the way of the past and Appalachian folk medicine here at Sequoyah Birthplace Museum. In this class you will learn how to make first aid salve and take it home with you. The cost of the class is $25 per person. Space is limited to 20 people. Darnita Collins is a certified herbalist and deeply rooted in Appalachian Herbal Remedies and folklore medicine. She is studying to become a holistic health practitioner.
