Join us in Simsbury, CT for a Summer Fungi Foraging Class. You will learn how to identify and utilize edible and medical mushrooms that can be found this time of year.
This class will be co-taught by CT Foraging Club founder Amy Demers and Amanda Dye. Amanda Dye is an applied mycologist from the Eastern MA area with experience in foraging New England’s edible and medicinal fungi, growing edible mushrooms in commercial settings, and researching and developing myco-remediation techniques.
The class will consist of a 45-minute lecture where you will learn how to differentiate edible mushroom species from toxic look-alikes. You will then have an opportunity to forage for your own wild mushrooms. We will then re-convene to discuss the mushroom finds. The entire class will be about 1.5 hours long.
This class will be $30 per person. To sign up, email c2hyb29tc29mY3QgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ== with the full name of all participants.
