We are excited to welcome Nancy and can't wait for you to see her work! Her Bio follows:

I am a colored pencil artist originally from Conneaut , currently living in Beachwood. I have a realistic style of work which lends itself well to my subject matter: wine and plants. Much of my art depicts lazy afternoons at Ashtabula County wineries or flowers I see while walking. I especially love to show the intricate reflections on wine bottles and glasses and the subtle variations and shadows in flowers.

Although I have drawn all my life and took as many art classes as possible in high school and college, my career path led me to occupational therapy. My husband Tom and I raised our daughter Hallie in Conneaut while I worked with special needs children for 30 years, mostly in Ashtabula City Schools. Family and career took priority - Art waited.

After early retirement, Tom and I moved to Mentor to be closer to our daughter’s young family. I resumed taking art classes and became more skilled and confident in my work. I began displaying my art at juried art shows in 2019. I have won several awards, including Best in Show for “Solitary Celebration“ at Ashtabula Arts Center; First Place Drawing for “Ries” at Rabbit Run; and multiple awards for “Table for Two”. Recently I’ve discovered the magic of watercolor. So, I’m still a work in progress!
