Art Journaling is one easy and fun way to enjoy making low-pressure art and develop your inner strength through Creative Resilience!
Creative Resilience is similar to art therapy in that it utilizes the benefits of a creative practice to reduce stress and knock down internal barriers to growth in all areas of life. We strengthen core competencies of Resilience like self awareness, optimism, & self regulation through specially designed creative practices with a “process over perfection” approach. We come together, unburden, reframe, strengthen, and create beautiful reminders of positive ways to face life’s ups & downs…and it’s fun 😊
One study on art therapy found that just 45 minutes of creative art-making reduced the levels of cortisol (stress hormone) in the brain for 75% of adult participants. While Creative Resilience is NOT art therapy, it has the same benefits due to its mindful, process-based methodology, so you get those lowered cortisol levels…without needing a referral 😉.
