Mat Pilates is a low to mid impact exercise that focuses on strengthening the body through a series of precise movements and breath control. Mat class is performed holding movements such as planks, side planks, roll ups and core exercises to build your muscle groups and core strength. It primarily targets the core, also referred to as the Powerhouse. The focus of Pilates is to improve overall strength, flexibility, and postural alignment through engagement of the core.
