The full Moon is on July 10th, and Shiloh Ayurveda will be open from 7:30 pm to 9 pm to celebrate. The full moon in July 2025 is called the Buck Moon. This name comes from the fact that male deer (bucks) regrow their antlers in July, in anticipation of the fall mating season. The Buck Moon will reach peak illumination on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 4:37 p.m. Eastern Time. It will rise towards the southeast after sunset. In addition to Buck Moon, July's full moon is known by several other names, reflecting seasonal changes and cultural connections to nature. Some of these names include:
Thunder Moon (reflecting the prevalence of thunderstorms in July)
Hay Moon (referencing the hay harvest)
Feather Moulting Moon (Cree)
Salmon Moon (Tlingit, marking the return of salmon)
Berry Moon (Anishinaabe)
Moon When the Chokecherries are Ripe (Dakota)
Month of the Ripe Corn Moon (Cherokee)
Raspberry Moon (Algonquin, Ojibwe)
Halfway Summer Moon (Anishinaabe)
Full Moon July 2025:
Peak Illumination: 4:37 PM, July 10th.
Good crystals to use include Clear Quartz, Garnet, and Smoky Quartz for their properties of clarity, grounding, and releasing negativity. Labradorite is also a good choice for transformation and big-picture thinking.
