Named for the river that runs through their hometown, Greenville, SC’s three year old Reedy River String Band, features three writers, three lead singers, and three part harmonies. Combined with frontman Sterling Waite’s multi-instrumental prowess, this trio’s larger than life sound defies their numbers and transcends their bluegrass influences and instrumentation.
Flying high from the success of their first European tour and with dates to be announced for their second, the Reedy River String Band recently flew back to the US to close out the 30th Albino Skunk Music Festival. Other notable festivals include The Earl Scruggs Music Festival, Charleston Bluegrass Festival, Birdfest and more.
Reedy River String Band released their debut self-titled album in 2022 and has since released two singles, "My Grass is Blue," and "Punkin Brown" in 2023. Their studio releases and live performances have been played on multiple radio stations in the United States and Europe. Currently, they are mixing a new LP for a summer of 2025 release.
