The current state of our nervous system’s are in overdrive, fight and flight. Creating tension and stress in our bodies. We’re conditioned to believe that more effort creates better results, but when it comes to deep healing, and the relaxation response, the opposite is true.
The nervous system doesn’t respond to force, it responds to time, safety, and stillness.
In this Restorative Workshop we will explore long held poses to turn on the Relaxation Response. We will let the body ground, find our deepest breath, and allow the mind to be calm. This is how we restore the nervous system back to wholeness and balance.
Restorative Yoga teaches us to do less, move slower, and trust the healing that happens in rest. We will use props, our breath, and mindful support. It’s about allowing, not pushing.
