Echo: Trailblazer Hike to Contentment Falls & Wells Viaduct

Hey Trailblazers! Are you ready for a blockbuster hike with breath-taking scenery? This hike will be to the beautiful Contentment Falls which you can walk behind! We will also hike to the base of the Wells Viaduct which is one of the highest train-trestles in the east. It is something to behold! It amazingly spans more than 1,300 feet long and 200 feet high! WOW! Afterwards, we will have an early dinner together!

So, come join us for a day of awe-inspiring scenery, good exercise and great fellowship as we get out and explore God’s incredible creation.

HIKE DIFFICULTY: D3+, (Total 4-mile hike)
Hiking Rating Scale:
D1 Easy (beginner hikers) mostly flat
D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills
D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous, some steep
D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) Steep grades/moderate distance.
D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Very steep and far

TIME: 10am to 3pm
TRAILHEAD LOCATION: Near Locust Stake Road, Toccoa
MEET & GREET ADDRESS: Walmart in Cornelia – 250 Furniture Drive, Cornelia GA. Look for white Chevy Avalanche in outer parking lot towards Chick-fil-A. We will jump in cars and head to the trailhead which is a 30-minute drive.
DEVOTIONAL: Halfway
LATE LUNCH: Mexican in Cornelia afterwards

WHAT TO BRING: Small Day Pack with snacks and water - rain jacket, etc.
Optional Things to Bring: Hiking Poles, First-Aid Kit,

PLEASE NOTE: This is a single adult only event. Also, please do not bring pets or animals. Thank you for your cooperation.

KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
