Lotus Lantern Craft

Teens and adults are invited to a special cultural program experience: a Lotus Lantern Craft workshop at the Columbus Public Library. This program is a hands-on arts and cultural experience that focuses on Korean history and culture. Patrons will watch a brief presentation on the significance of the lotus flower and the Lotus Lantern Festival and then participate in a step-by-step craft session where they will create their own traditional Korean lotus lantern. At the end of the event, there will be a short documentary film about Korea. We are excited to present this event during our Summer Library Program, as art and culture help "Color Our World" as well! This event is open to teens entering 6th grade and older as well as adults. There are a limited number of kits available, so registration is required for this event.
