Mindful Movement combines slow gentle moves (somatic), breathwork, Yin Yoga and mindfulness. You focus more on how you feel as you move slowly, rather than what a pose looks like. This makes it a lot easier for you to adapt the movement to suit your body. It’s a great practice for beginners
People who do Mindful Movement say their body feels lighter and more supple. It’s good for stress, regulating your nervous system, pain relief, lowering inflammation and leaves you feeling very relaxed.
You don’t need any experience of yoga or somatics to take part. A lot of the movement is done laying down So long as you can get up and down from the floor, you’ll be fine.
