What do clouds have to do with climate? Find out at NASA Astro Camp: Cloud in a Jar! On Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m., students in grades 3–8 will explore how clouds form and why they matter.
Through a hands-on experiment, participants will create their own “cloud in a jar” to observe how water vapor condenses into clouds. Along the way, they'll learn about evaporation, condensation, and the water cycle—and how clouds help regulate Earth’s temperature by reflecting sunlight or trapping heat.
This fun and engaging activity introduces young scientists to key climate science concepts while encouraging curiosity about the world around them. Registration is required.
