π Location: NCBA Apiary at the NE Florida Fairgrounds
β‘ Directions: Enter off Middle/Musselwhite Rd and drive into the parking lot. The apiary is located in the far right corner behind the pond.
π₯ Who Can Attend:
All active paid members of the Nassau County Beekeepers Association are welcome! Not a member yet? You can join at the sessionβ$20 for an individual membership or $35 for a family membership.
Important Requirements
β Signed Waiver Required: All attendees must have a signed waiver on file before participating. If you donβt have one yet, weβll have copies available for you to complete on-site.
What to Wear
For your safety and comfort around the bees, please wear:
π Loose-fitting, light-colored clothing (bees are attracted to dark colors and tight-fitting clothes can trap them)
π At least a bee veil (a full suit is ideal, but a veil is the minimum requirement)
π Long sleeves and pants (to reduce the chance of stings)
π Closed-toe shoes with high socks or boots (avoid sandals or open shoes)
π Gloves (recommended, especially for beginners)
