The St Aidan's 10K is the best way to start your weekend. Held on a Friday evening in July, this popular 10K trail race is a perfect introduction to off-road running and an ideal race to test your speed. The race is a fast and (mostly) flat trail race along public footpaths and bridleways in the idyllic setting of RSPB St Aidan's Country Park to the east of Leeds.
Starting by the RSPB St Aidan's Little Owl Cafe (alongside the largest preserved walking dragline excavator in Western Europe, known as "Oddball"), the route takes in most of the Country Park before finishing back at the Visitor Centre. After the race, why not top for a drink, bring along a picnic and get the weekend started in this idyllic setting on a summer's evening?
