Dying Matters Week 2025 is being brought to you by Laura Sweetman Independent Funeral Director and the Palmerston North City Library
Head along to the Palmerston North City Library from 1st to 7th September to take part in activities including resources and information, a curated collection of books on grief and dying, panel discussions with local experts and opportunities to drop in and chat.
Planning is underway for lots of other events and conversation spaces including a Death Cafe, Advance Care Planning presentation, Law Talk covering wills, estate planning and probate and Open Days at a local funeral home, cemetery and crematorium.
Dying Matters Week is all about supporting people to start conversations, learn from experts, and feel empowered to put end-of-life planning in place to bring peace of mind to themselves and their loved ones.
