Laneham Olympics is back for 2025!
We're very excited to bring back our village fair again this year, and given the huge success of last year we thought we'd keep with the Olympic theme again!
We've got events planned for all ages and abilities, with the old classics like egg & spoon race, 3-legged race and welly wang for the families, plus something for the competitive grown ups too.. The very messy 'Drunken Relay' will be back to see which team can keep their pints in check, you can test your strength with the new 'Keg Lift Challenge' to see who we crown the resident strongman/woman. And of course it wouldn't be complete without the Ferry Boat Inn vs The Bees' Knees Tug Of War! Can The Bees' hold on to the trophy or will it head back to the Ferry...
Plus we've got a fully stocked bar, ice creams and we'll be cooking up some food on the BBQ this year too. There are also plenty of games to keep the little ones happy too.
It all takes place at the plying field on Broadings Lane from 2pm on the 19th July. We really hope you can come along and make it even better than 2024!
