Sunday Serene Sounds: Charlotte McAuliffe and Steve Bean (Cello and Guitar)

Our first Sunday afternoon concert at St John's in nearly a year brings together two musicians who have performed here regularly over the years, but never, until now, together.

Cellist Charlotte McAuliffe and guitarist Steve Bean will be uniting to bring us a concert that will include both heart-stirring pieces such as The Swan from The Carnival of the Animals and Meditation from Thaïs, alongside timeless favourites such as Cavatina, Romanza, and the spellbinding Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 by Villa-Lobos.

So a concert that will certainly help to put the "Serene" beck into your Sunday afternoon, but please note that we'll be starting half an hour later than usual, at 4pm rather from 3.30pm.

We are dependent on your donations to keep running these concerts, and the suggested donation amount is £8, but please don’t worry if that’s more than you can afford.

There won’t be a full café at this concert, but tea, coffee and cold drinks will be available for twenty minutes before and after, and any profits from that will also go towards future concerts.
