We will not have a guest speaker this year as we wish to have time to discuss the future of the Aire Valley Rail User Group.

After a lengthy period of privatisation the railway is facing radical change. There will be a new national organisation, Great British Railways (GBR). It is not clear how local railways in the north of England (such as the Airedale line) will be managed.

We believe it is important that local rail users have a say in how services are developed. It is vital that we engage more fully both with rail users and railway management. With this in mind, we are looking for new people to join the committee.
