Get ready to enter a world filled with digital life forms, vibrant colours and ambient sounds. Microworld is a free family friendly exhibition of immersive digital art. Explore a range of creatures and see how they respond to you and your movements, and to each other.
These ambitious artworks are created by Genetic Moo, a UK based collective. Their work is inspired by sea creatures, nature, and science. Discover Genetic Moo’s artwork inspired by the Ferens’ permanent collection, created specially for this exhibition.
We invite you to get creative in Microworld by manipulating the digital projections through movement. You can also become a scientist in our immersive sensory play area to explore and study the unusual creatures you will come across in the exhibition. This interactive exhibition is designed for all ages, you can play, experiment, collaborate, create, learn and have fun.
The exhibition runs from Saturday 24 May until Sunday 7 September 2025.
