Mini Millers - Holgate Windmill in the Ice Age

Yorkshire's oldest working windmill is running its Mini Millers activity programme for children on the first Saturday of each month, and I'm delighted to be offering an Ice Age session on Saturday July 5th.
Holgate Windmill sits on an Ice Age hill, so in this workshop we will learn all about the landscapes of Ice Age York and the remarkable creatures that lived here. I will bring rocks, fossils, maps and books for the Mini Millers to take a closer look at.
Then, suitably inspired, we'll use glacial imagination and our best crafting skills to print our own pictures of Ice Age Holgate. You can include as much ice and as many mammoths as you like, but your print must include the windmill somewhere!
We will be using poster paints and PVA glue, so please dress in clothes that you don't mind getting paint, glue or water on. Places are strictly limited to 15 children.
