HERB WALKS
Thursday 19th June 4.30pm
and
Saturday 28th 5pm
This is the same walk both times.
MEETING AT: John Hall wellness gardens at back of Brough park, Leek, Staffordshire
PARKING: Brough park "overflow" carpark - free. It is the only carpark available at Brough park, leek, due to refurbishment. Please do not park at John Hall gardens unless you are already visiting there.
THE WALK: it is not taking place at John Hall, I am just using this as a landmark in a large area.
The walk takes place at the back of Brough park in the old waste land (I take you to the nicest places) - it's a rich and diverse area teeming with plants and wildlife.
Very dog friendly and safe for kids. I'll be bringing Maeve and she will be off-lead. You'd get an all terrain buggy round most of it but not over the stiles so a sling would be best. The walk will be circa 2miles, largely flat/undulating with no benches.
It will take place no matter what weather (barring risk to life!) so please dress suitably. It will take approx 1hr but could run to 1hr 20 depending on people's questions, so give yourself time for whatever else you have to do after (or feel free to leave at whatever time you need).
We're in summer now so there's plenty to pick if you wanted to bring a small basket or bag and some snips - we will be gathering sustainably and respectfully.
Same as usual - no booking required. £5 per adult, kids free.
