Dance Level Auditions

Hello Parents and Dancers!
My name is Mrs. Handy and I am SOOO excited to soon be starting this school year with you all. I cannot wait to meet each of you and begin our dance journey together. Introductions will come with the school year, but I wanted to send this information out to all as we slowly start to approach August 4th. If you did not receive the email, we will be holding dance level auditions for the 25/26 school year in case you missed them in April. The email information and flyer can be seen below, but if you have any questions-please do not hesitate to message and reach out to me. Again, I am looking forward to this beautiful new year of dance together and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer.
"This email is to announce dance level auditions that will take place during the first week of school on Tuesday, August 5th-Thursday, August 7th. I understand there were some students who either did not have the opportunity to audition or are missing class level specific notes and because I was unable to attend; I am extending this offer for those who are interested in re-auditioning. I am also opening it up to anyone wanting to try for a different level but with that, understanding that it will not necessarily guarantee a move of levels. Once students have been appropriately placed, they will need to request a schedule change with their counselor. The last day to request a schedule change is Monday 8/11. Counselors will be able to make the final determination for schedule changes.
If your dancer(s) has already auditioned and they are in their preferred level, they do not need to attend. In addition to that, if your dancer is new to dance and does not wish to audition, they can remain in beginning dance (Dance 1-2).

Audition Details
Date: Tuesday, August 5th-Thursday, August 7th
Time: 3:30-5:25
Where: MVHS Dance Studio
Dress appropriately in active and tight-form fitted dance wear. Bring water and a snack if needed. Bring any ballet, jazz, half-sole footies. Hair needs to be pulled back and out of the face.
***Auditions will include: warm up, technique across the floor and in the center of the room, jazz combination.
Students who require transportation will be able to ride the activity bus which departs MVHS at 5:30."
