BW53 Miles

For those who knew and loved Barney, this is an opportunity to share a wonderful experience, raising funds to change young people’s lives.

The event is a combination of four connecting walks, with an option for all abilities, adding up to a rounded 53 miles of fun and healthy activity!

Participation is exclusively open to:

Barney’s friends and family
Taunton School pupils, their families, teachers and staff
Friends from Nottingham University and Bishops Hull Cricket Club
Barney’s wider relatives and friends

Entry is £15 per head to include a T-shirt!

Participants are asked to raise £100 in sponsorship and more would be fantastic. Use a Just Giving page to register your sponsorship.

Choose from one of four connecting walks totalling 53 miles, with an option for all abilities of between 22 and 5 miles. All walks interlock and finish at Starcross, so you can join up and walk family and friends who are on a different walk.
Barney's Banging Hike - 22 miles of hard walking and only for the fit and well equipped. Walk from Torquay to Starcross.
The Tough Terrain - 17 miles of tough going. This walk joins Barney's Banging Hike at Babbacombe and goes on to Starcross
The Glide - 9 miles of easy going, joining Barneys Banging Hike and The Tough Terrain at Teignmouth.
The Social - 5 miles of easy going, joining the previous three hikes at Dawlish and continuing to Starcross.
