Stuart MacDonald plus support: Black White Square Form

On 25th June Scarborough Jazz Club welcomes back one of the club’s most popular regular guests, saxophonist Stuart MacDonald. A consummate musician equally at home playing a stomping groove, a tender ballad or a gentle bossa, his sound is warm, supple and rounded. A regular of many bands over the years - 7 Pieces of Silver, Heavy Horns, New York Brass Band and, the latest, Neon Brass - tonight Stuart is backed by a 5-piece house band with a strong Latin bent and special guest Graham Pinkney on vibraphone.

In the opening support slot is Black White Square Form, a local young group mixing jazz improvisation with myriad musical influences.
