Sketching Airplanes: North Las Vegas Airport with the Urban Sketchers

We are sketching at one of my favorite locations in July- the North Las Vegas Airport.
It's a tiny airport so parking is easy and amenities clean.
I'll start with a sketch on the observation deck on the second floor which gives you a great view of the planes below. There's no sun protection from that spot so bring a hat and a stool to sketch from there.
If you prefer to stay in the air conditioning, there's the lobby downstairs, but I can't recommend enough the wonderful Sunshine and Tailwinds cafe upstairs! You can have a great breakfast while sketching the planes out the window, the model airplanes that adorn the ceiling, or the loyal crowd of regulars that keeps coming back.
