University of Exeter are one of the best university rugby league teams in England, and they'll be a stern test for the Maltese that will feature a majority domestic based team that is set to include a number of national team regulars with some new faces debuting in the red and white for the first time.
Supporters of Maltese rugby will have the pleasure to also see Malta Knights captain Karl Cassar, former NRL and Super League star Jarrod Sammut, and former Cornwall prop Kaine Dimech, all in action for the Malta XIII.
The match is the culmination of a seven-day training camp for Maltese players in Malta that serves as the first preparations ahead of the Malta Knights' European Championship campaign against the Netherlands and Serbia later this year.
The Maltese last played at the Mosta ground in 2022 when they defeated Montenegro for the inaugural Medieval Shield.
