We're thrilled to announce the kickoff of our Canal-stota 200 ✨️ weekend, packed with exciting events! 🤗

Step back in time to 1825, when the Erie Canal's completion transformed Canastota and the Town of Lenox on Thursday July 24th, from 5-8pm on Canal Street. ⏳️

▪︎The Canastota Canal Town Museum will offer immersive tours, complete with period attire. 🏠
▪︎Dan Lynch will lead a captivating class on the Erie Canal's music at 5 pm. 🪕🎻
▪︎Join us for a Canal Boat Captain Show at 6 pm to uncover the lives of those who shaped the Erie Canal's history. 🚣‍♂️
▪︎Madison County NY Government Historian Matthew Urtz and Marilyn Higgins: Author will guide a historical walking tour along the Canal, exploring the inspiration behind Marilyn Higgins' book starting at 6:45pm. 📚👣
▪︎Enjoy other demonstrations, presentations and interactions with a blacksmith, fabric spinner, the Oneida Indian Nation, and more! 🤯
▪︎Make sure you stop by and support our local farmers and produce stands by getting some fresh food at our small farmers market. 👨‍🌾
▪︎And don't worry about dinner that night, we'll have the famous PB&J's Lunch Box on Old Liverpool Rd. Food Truck there ready to serve you, and local business The Dirty Fizz there to quench your thirst! 🌯🥤
