Gaining Ground Farm

Circling back around. Some of our most cherished events are at the same site with the same chef years later. We first brought Chef Dissen out to Gaining Ground in 2011 and reprised that pairing for several events through the 2010s. The farm is home to a heard of Red Devon cattle, a flock of chickens, and several acres of vegetable-growing bottom-land.. A lot of love is generated in an afternoon and evening in the field. Love that needs revisiting and rekindling. William was our guest chef last season at Smoky Mountain River Ranch in Asheville a few days before the record rains of Hurricane Helena. As the Asheville area recovers from the devastating floods, a little love and celebration of community is needed now more than ever.
