Parent Program

Our Parent Program will be held every Tuesday, June 3-July 15 from 6-7:30 pm. The interactive, skill-based program is designed to help parents promote positive health and personal development in their children. The program gives parents appropriate and collaborative tools to use with their children to reinforce competency in the skills that have been found to reduce and prevent substance use and violence. This is ideal for parents of pre-adolescent and adolescent children but is beneficial for all parents. The sessions focus on family communication, parental monitoring, being a good role model, use of appropriate and consistent discipline, effects and warning signs of substance use, and taking a clear stand on drugs.
We will provide free childcare during the sessions as well as food, incentives, and resources. Please contact Jen Yates anlhdGVzIHwgbWN5bWNhICEgb3Jn at the YMCA to RSVP or ask questions. Please share with friends, co-workers, family, agencies, providers, and clients.
