MASTER CLASS: Mixed Media Art Camp [Grades 4 - 6]

Local artist, Nicole Gagner, knows what it means to transform a blank canvas.
During this summer focused on adding color to our world, amateur artists can spend each of these four July afternoons
inspired by master artists: Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Roy Lichtenstein and Frida Kahlo.
Students will be exposed to various art mediums, allowed to experiment with different traditional art styles, and given the space to create art representative of that sessions’ featured artist.
These studio sessions allow young creatives to learn about and work alongside established artists.
Students may discover their own distinct style, or better understand the artists and the art movements that color our history.
Skills and content will be built upon from the previous weeks, so students MUST be able to attend ALL FOUR Thursday sessions (July 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st).
This class is for artists who will be entering grades 4th - 6th in Fall 2025. Class is limited to 24 students.
Students who are participating in the 2025 MMPL Summer Reading Program may use this class towards earning activity badges on Beanstack.
A parent/guardian is required to remain on the MMPL premises from 12:30 - 1:30 PM for the duration of each class.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: https://mortonmandan.librarycalendar.com/event/mixed-media-art-inspired-masters-w-artist-nicole-gagner-10120
