If you remember the Eyes of Freedom traveling memorial when it visited the library a few years ago—or even if you missed it—we invite you to engage with it in a whole new way.
Artist Anita Miller, creator of the Eyes of Freedom, is collaborating with Professor Pat Clark from CU Boulder’s Immersive Media Lab to develop a virtual reality version of the memorial, complete with immersive storytelling elements. Before the official launch in hospitals, schools, and other settings, they are offering a public test session here at the library.
Participants will wear a VR headset to explore the exhibit, then provide feedback to help the team refine the experience. Sessions will last about an hour—30 minutes for the VR experience, followed by feedback and questions. Up to 10 people can participate in each time slot, offered on the hour at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 12 p.m. Ages 10 and up welcome.
Advance registration is recommended. For more information, visit eyesoffreedom.org or contact Anita Miller at 614-218-6087.
