Beginner-Friendly Relief Printing Class in a Beautiful Garden Setting
In this beginner-friendly class we will be exploring the exciting world of relief printing. This medium is an excellent introduction to printmaking, giving you the opportunity to create your own unique art prints from start to finish as you learn a new medium in a beautiful garden setting.
Students will work through the steps of developing their images, transferring them onto a soft rubber carving block, and then carving the image out by hand. When the carving process is done, you will print your masterpiece onto acid free art paper using professional printmaking ink to create a collection of prints that will be yours to take home and proudly display!
To keep this class achievable within a short timeframe, we will focus on keeping our artworks smaller scale. Participants will carve a 4×6 inch easy carve soft rubber bock and the final prints in your collection will be 5×7 inches, a perfect size for easy and affordable framing.
Beginners Welcome: Our experienced and knowledgeable instructor will be there for every step of the process to help guide you through the project and ensure that you come away with a unique art piece by the end of the class. No prior experience or additional supplies are necessary.
Take Home Your Creation: Students will take home their one-of-a-kind art prints, made with aloha. Students will have enough prints to share with friends and family or give as gifts later on.
