Walk with One Community in Glen Ellyn's 4th of July Parade

“In order to form a more perfect union,” reads the Preamble to our Constitution. Striving for that ever more perfect union, and enacting the ideals of Justice and Liberty for all, is a continuous work in progress. As we look forward to celebrating our nation’s birthday, and the Constitution that established it, let’s also honor the diversity and friendships that is the bedrock of what makes this country strong and vibrant.
We invite you to walk with us as part of the One Community parade entry at Glen Ellyn’s 4th of July Parade. Join us as individual community members, or as residents representing area community organizations, to march together as one community. Bring a sign/banner of your organization or make one that morning at our parade staging area (we will have sharpies and poster boards). Remember to also wear your One Community t-shirt, if you have one from a previous parade. We will have additional t-shirts handy as well. Feel free to bring any appropriate paraphernalia that represents your group and the diversity of this nation, as we portray a united community that cherishes all its neighbors.
Please – NO POLITICAL SIGNS / ATTIRE / ACCESSORIES / PARAPHERNALIA.
The parade organizers have indicated that candy/flags (but no paper advertisements) may be distributed to the crowd by handing it to them. Do not bring water guns – they will be confiscated.

Staging Location: Lake Road, Glen Ellyn – along east side of Lake Ellyn, just north of Crescent Blvd and north-east of Glenbard West High School
