Friday Night Market Series with David Mohrmann!

Join us as we welcome local author David Mohrmann as our featured guest for our next installment of our Friday Night Market Series. David will be signing copies of his latest book, "Music Of The Lake: the wonder of Atitlán", starting at 5:30pm. This latest work is is a love story: the intimate relationship between Hank and Guatemala’s Lake Atitlán. For many years he’s felt driven to write a novel—a way of expressing the vital need to protect this sacred place. But now, far more crucial, he has to protect his other love, Fiona, who would just as soon he didn’t. In spite of her resistance he pushes on, must confront long-time enemies, drug dealers, corrupt cops, vigilantes, and—most difficult of all—himself.
A comedic drama steeped in present-day Maya culture, this is a tale of personal redemption. Also, beyond that, the mystical journey of a man transformed by profound sorrow and inspired by eternal hope.
This is David's 4th work of fiction but he is also a painter, playwright, short-story writer, and formerly a "Theater Of The Oppressed" facilitator through Humboldt State University.
