On the afternoon of the show, there will be a FREE "Creating the #Shakespeareance" educational workshop run by the founders of The Rustic Mechanicals, Jason and Sarah Young. This workshop will take place at the Millwald from 2pm - 3pm on June 27th.
Sponsored by the Wythe-Bland Foundation, this event is a lecture/demo workshop that explores how the Rustic Mechanicals bring their performance scripts from page to stage by using Shakespeare's staging conditions from 400 years ago - shared light, thrust staging, direct address with the audience, modern costumes, live modern acoustic music, doubling, and gender blind casting. This behind the scenes conversation is suitable for students and adults alike.
