"In Remembrance of a Neighbourhood" by Debbie Lively in the KAC Main & Hallway Galleries
This show is a celebration of all the homes that once stood where the new "City Gardens" is now growing. Each home painted had a story in history that won't be forgotten. They are written in our memories forever.

Artist Statement:
"This was a joyous journey for me, capturing these beautiful pieces of history with paint and brush!"
Artist Bio:
Debbie is self-taught and for the past 30 years she has mastered watercolour, gouache, acrylics and oils. Her paintings are filled with light and colour and speak clearly of her passion.
She holds an AFCA status with the Federation of Canadian Artists. She has taught many workshops both privately and abroad.
"I am captivated and compelled by the process of rendering light and shadow, no matter what the subject. Light warms, reveals and brings joy to the subjects I paint! I'm passionate about the whole process of creating a painting, from the challenge of design to the manipulation of paint. Every day is a day to be creative!"
Debbie's show will be exhibited in the main and hallway galleries from June 5th to June 26th, 2025
