4th of July Fun Run ! πΊπΈποΈ
Join me on 4th of July morning for a run through the desert!
The trailhead is 1 hour from Phoenix headed south on the 10. The trail itself is a couple hours long and nearly 60 mi in length. The trail is semi-rugged, a full size spare is recommended. A handheld gmrs radio is also recommended, some of us have extras.
We will meet up at a designated air down spot. Meetup will begin at 7:30 a.m. We will leave to hit the trailhead at 8:00 a.m. There will be many stops and many sites along the way. There hasn't been an updated trail report for nearly 60 days. Please stay hydrated. Bring as much water as you can. The heat should start to pick up after 10:00 a.m. We should be off the trail by 11ish. On our return trip to Phoenix we can gas up in Marana or Eloy. Remember to bring some food so you can snack along the way. If more people come we can plan to stop and make something to eat possibly. For now just the trail and the sights. I will post the coordinates closer to the time of the event where we will meet up and air down. If anybody wants to roll out as a group, let me know.

Update: Best place to meet is most likely the QT in Marana. The loop can be started from the south side.I may take the "New Power" trail to the 79 and come back through Florence after.
